عقد مركز شاهد لحقوق المواطن والتنمية المجتمعية اجتماعا مع عدد من المؤسسات ووسائل الإعلام المحلية في مقر المركز، لبحث آفاق التعاون الإعلامي وتعزيز الشراكة بما يسهم في دعم القضايا المجتمعية، وتسليط الضوء على مبادرات وبرامج المركز التي تهم المجتمع المحلي، إلى جانب بحث إمكانية توحيد الجهود، وتبادل الخبرات، وطرح أفكار جديدة للعمل المشترك.
وشارك في اللقاء ممثلون عن عدد من وسائل الإعلام والمؤسسات الإعلامية، من بينها أصداء للصحافة والإعلام، وتلفزيون المدينة، وراديو حياة، ووكالة مدار نيوز، ومركز إعلام النجاح، حيث ناقش المشاركون. آليات بناء تعاون مستمر يقوم على التواصل المباشر وتبادل المعلومات والخبرات، بما يتيح لوسائل الإعلام متابعة أخبار المركز وفعالياته ومبادراته وتغطيتها بصورة أكثر فاعلية.
وتناول اللقاء طبيعة عمل المركز وبرامجه، خاصة المبادرات التي تركز على الشباب وتمكينهم وتطوير قدراتهم، ودعم النساء، وتعزيز مشاركة الفئات المهمشة، باعتبارها قضايا تمس احتياجات المجتمع المحلي وتستحق اهتماما وتغطية إعلامية أكبر، كما ناقش اللقاء عددا من الأفكار والمقترحات لتعزيز التعاون، من بينها توسيع التغطية الإعلامية للمبادرات المجتمعية، وإنتاج مواد إعلامية مشتركة تسلط الضوء على قصص وتجارب النساء والشباب ومبادراتهم، إلى جانب إمكانية الاستفادة من خبرات الإعلاميين والمتخصصين في المؤسسات الإعلامية للمشاركة كمدربين أو خبراء ضمن التدريبات والبرامج التي ينفذها المركز.
وناقش المشاركون كذلك إمكانية التعاون في قضايا المساءلة المجتمعية، وإنتاج محتوى إعلامي يتناول القضايا التي تهم المواطنين، ويفتح المجال أمام النقاش والحوار حول الخدمات والاحتياجات المجتمعية، بما يعزز دور الإعلام في متابعة القضايا العامة وإيصال أصوات المواطنين.
وتطرق الاجتماع إلى فرص التعاون في مجال التشغيل والتدريب داخل المؤسسات الإعلامية، من خلال إتاحة فرص للتدريب العملي والتعرف إلى بيئة العمل الإعلامي، بما يمكن أن يسهم في تطوير مهارات الشباب وتأهيلهم لسوق العمل، كما طرح مقترح تنفيذ إنتاج إعلامي مشترك بين المركز ووسائل الإعلام، يتم الاتفاق على موضوعه وإنتاجه ونشره بشكل تشاركي، بما يتيح توحيد الجهود.
واتفق المشاركون على أهمية عقد جلسات دورية تجمع المركز ووسائل الإعلام المشاركة، بهدف تقييم التعاون، ومناقشة القضايا والموضوعات ذات الأولوية، وتطوير أفكار جديدة للعمل المشترك، إلى جانب العمل على إعداد مذكرات تفاهم مع المؤسسات الإعلامية الراغبة، بما يحدد مجالات التعاون وآلياته.
وفي إطار التحضيرات للمرحلة المقبلة ناقش المشاركون إمكانية تنفيذ أنشطة إعلامية مرتبطة بالانتخابات، من بينها تنظيم مناظرة انتخابية وإنتاج مواد إعلامية توعوية وتغطيات مهنية تساهم في تعزيز النقاش العام وإتاحة مساحة للحوار حول البرامج والقضايا التي تهم المواطنين.
ويأتي هذا اللقاء في إطار توجه مركز شاهد للتنمية المجتمعية وحقوق المواطن نحو توسيع شبكة علاقاته وشراكاته مع المؤسسات الإعلامية والمجتمعية، وتعزيز حضور القضايا التي يعمل عليها في الفضاء الإعلامي، بما يدعم الشباب والنساء والفئات المهمشة، ويساهم في إيصال قضاياهم وتجاربهم واحتياجاتهم إلى الجمهور وصناع القرار.
Witness Center Explores Ways to Strengthen Joint Media Cooperation with Local Media Outlets
The Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development held a meeting with a number of local media institutions and outlets at the Center’s headquarters to discuss prospects for media cooperation and strengthen partnerships in a way that contributes to supporting community issues and highlighting the Center’s initiatives and programs of interest to the local community. The meeting also explored opportunities to coordinate efforts, exchange expertise, and develop new ideas for joint work.
Representatives of several media outlets and institutions participated in the meeting, including Asdaa for Press and Media, Al-Madina TV, Hayat Radio, Madar News Agency, and An-Najah Media Center. Participants discussed mechanisms for building sustained cooperation based on direct communication and the exchange of information and expertise, enabling media outlets to follow and more effectively cover the Center’s news, activities, and initiatives.
The meeting addressed the nature of the Center’s work and programs, particularly initiatives focusing on youth empowerment and capacity development, supporting women, and promoting the participation of marginalized groups. These issues reflect the needs of the local community and deserve greater media attention and coverage. The meeting also discussed a number of ideas and proposals to strengthen cooperation, including expanding media coverage of community initiatives and producing joint media content highlighting the stories, experiences, and initiatives of women and youth. Participants also explored the possibility of drawing on the expertise of journalists and specialists from media institutions to participate as trainers or experts in the training programs and activities implemented by the Center.
Participants also discussed the possibility of cooperation on issues of social accountability and the production of media content addressing issues of concern to citizens, creating space for discussion and dialogue around public services and community needs. Such cooperation would strengthen the role of the media in following up on public issues and amplifying citizens’ voices.
The meeting also addressed opportunities for cooperation in employment and training within media institutions by providing practical training opportunities and exposure to the media work environment. This could contribute to developing young people’s skills and preparing them for the labor market. A proposal was also put forward to produce joint media content between the Center and media outlets, with the topic, production, and publication agreed upon and carried out collaboratively, allowing the parties to coordinate and pool their efforts.
Participants agreed on the importance of holding regular meetings bringing together the Center and participating media outlets to evaluate cooperation, discuss priority issues and topics, and develop new ideas for joint work. They also discussed working toward preparing memoranda of understanding with interested media institutions to define areas of cooperation and the mechanisms for implementing them.
As part of preparations for the next phase, participants discussed the possibility of implementing election-related media activities, including organizing an electoral debate and producing awareness-raising media materials and professional coverage that would contribute to strengthening public debate and providing space for dialogue on programs and issues of concern to citizens.
The meeting comes as part of the Witness Center for Citizen Rights and Social Development’s efforts to expand its network of relationships and partnerships with media and community institutions and strengthen the presence of the issues it addresses in the media landscape. These efforts aim to support youth, women, and marginalized groups and contribute to bringing their issues, experiences, and needs to the attention of the public and decision-makers.
